Your numbers predict future health:

Get Better Numbers

Goal-setting techniques:

Most people recognize they need to change their diet and lifestyle to help lower their blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, or improve their blood sugar. The first step is to set the right goals. Committing your goals to paper leads to a much greater likelihood of success!

Get your baseline:

Visit your healthcare provider or local clinic to get your health numbers. These include height, weight, blood pressure, and basic labs (like blood glucose and cholesterol). At home, measure your waistline. Use Get Better Numbers journal to record this information.

Track progress:

After collecting and recording your baseline in Get Better Numbers, start tracking your meals, snacks, water, exercise, and mood. The simple action of writing down this information will cause you to be more attentive to your daily habits! After 90 days, you'll revisit your baseline and celebrate your success in reaching your goals.

Mindset and motivation:

Simon Sinek famously asked the question, "What's your why?" Knowing your "why" will make your goals and actions steps meaningful. This will increase your motivation to stick to your plan! Keep your sight on the reasons you started on this path. Copy, revise, or rewrite periodically to keep your motivation strong.

Let Me Tell You More About Getting Better Numbers

If you want to get better numbers, on your scale or in your health care provider's office, I can help.

Hi, My name is Beth and I'm a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner.

Every day I see  people struggle to overcome health problems that could improve with a shift in lifestyle. Some examples are:

  • High blood pressure (leads to heart failure, heart attacks, and stroke)

  • Elevated cholesterol (a known risk factor in heart disease)

  • High blood glucose numbers (predictive of diabetes)

  • Excess weight  (risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, and joint pain)

Your "numbers" are predictors of your future health.

Most people recognize they need to change their diet and lifestyle to help lower their blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, or improve their blood sugar but they don't have what they need to move the numbers in the right direction.

I understand the difficulty of trying to make healthy changes to diet and lifestyle on your own so I've created helpful tools to help you get to where you want to be.
